CPE (Scheme of College with Potential for Excellence)

UGC has sanctioned an amount of One Crore under the scheme “College with Potential for Excellence (CPE)” on 15th October, 2010. The first installment of Rs. 50 lac of this grant has been received in the college. This grant has been allocated to develop the teaching facilities in Under Graduate and Post Graduate classes, Research facilities and Extension activities.

For the smooth implementation of proposed activity the following committee has been constituted–

 Under the scheme seven smart class rooms have been established in the PG departments – Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Political Science and History. Three smart class rooms comprise with the facility of interactive boards, portable interactive pads, multimedia – projector and one personal computer with a printer-cum-photocopier. The faculty members give their lectures on the interactive boards. They can write on the board, delete or save any matter. They can interact with students by moving in the whole class interactive pads. The saved matter can be printed on the attached printer and in supplied the students. The study material available in the form of soft copy can also be displayed on the interactive boards for the students.



These smart class-rooms are very much useful for seminars, workshop and conferences. A generator in the teaching block has been installed to maintain uninterpreted supply of electricity in the block of 25 class rooms. By using smart class rooms the teaching has been enhanced and students are also learning in a better way.
